The best case scenario is to have pages named after what people are looking for. The challenge is at the same time is to make it make sense.
Below is a small sampling (in order of preference) of what people search for related to dog training.
As you can see the whole “near me” craze is very popular (that is why I bought myself dogtrainingnearme.net, dogtrainingnearme.us, dogobediencetrainingnearme.com & puppytrainingnearme.us
Having those phrases throughout your website is what helps get it ranked better in google. It doesn’t make sense to have a separate service page for each of these phrases listed below (except for the main ones; dog training, puppy training, obedience training & board and train) but you can mention lots of them in articles or success stories.

So to answer your question, I would make the site as simple as possible, goal of the site is to get people to contact you and that is done by convincing them that they need you to help them fix a problem (NOT HOW you are going to do it). I wouldn’t want the site to get so detailed about how you do it. I’d focus more on the results, not the process. So if they are searching for board and train, they might land on the b & T page but after talking to them they might be better off with a different program.
Hey!
So this week we’ve worked our way up through the most important parts of marketing a dog training business…
What you offer (your programs and prices), your sales process (what you say when people contact you), your website content (and getting more people to contact you once they find you)…And now we’re at the top… getting people to find out you exist. It’s been something the 70+ dog trainers in the group have been looking forward to all week, and it’s here…Tonight.
Make sure you’re in the group so you can watch live or the recording later…You’ll ALSO want to be in there for tomorrow anyway because day FIVE of the classes will be including several things that no one else will get to find out (including some giveaways).
See you there! 🙂 Molly
PS – just a reminder too that if the classes aren’t for you… (you don’t like my jokes, you don’t think you learn enough, or you don’t think even the downloadable programs/selling/website checklists alone are worth the $37), just email me and I’ll happily give you a refund.
PPS – Deadline to join at all (and get permanent access to the recordings) is coming up tomorrow. So just do it now before you forget. You can always listen later when you have more time.

A well-trained dog is a joy to own. Here are some of the many benefits of investing in dog training:
- Improved Behavior: A well-trained dog exhibits good manners and is less likely to engage in destructive behaviors, such as chewing, barking excessively, or jumping on people.
- Enhanced Bond: Training strengthens the bond between you and your dog. Through positive reinforcement and consistent training, you build trust and create a deeper connection with your furry companion.
- Increased Safety: A well-trained dog is more likely to respond to commands, making them safer both indoors and outdoors. They are less likely to run off or engage in dangerous behaviors.
- Reduced Stress: A well-behaved dog can significantly reduce stress levels in your household. You won’t have to worry about accidents, destructive behaviors, or constant barking.
- Socialization Opportunities: A well-trained dog is more confident and well-adjusted, making it easier to socialize with other dogs and people. This can lead to more enjoyable outings and social interactions.

I specialize in Pet and Therapy Dog Training for the North Broward area – Coconut Creek, Margate, Coral Springs and Parkland. We encourage relationship based Dog Training and focus on teaching people to improve their communication with dogs.

I believe in most cases positive only methods are all you need to teach a dog a new trick or shape some of its basic behaviors. BUT and of course this depends on the dog… I believe you can very successfully and in most cases faster change unwanted behaviors using a balanced type of training. That includes different tools that are properly used and letting the dog experience low levels of pressure.
